gif files

Does anyone know why GIF animation files don't animate when you open them like XP did ? , only time I can see them animated is when there in email window or on web sites

Just checked, and you are correct, gifs do no animate in the new Photo Gallery Viewer, whereas they did in XP's Picture Viewer.

I did figure out a way to get them to work now just right click on one then click properties,when that window opens just click on change for the program for it to open and select internet explorer.now they work fine but maybe Microsoft can fix the viewer program to work right with gif files :(
